About Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse

Located at 4181 Rockside Rd, Independence, OH 44131, Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse operates as a teppanyaki serving Independence in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under restaurant, sushi restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Independence, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Ohio run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–2 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Its website is restaurantwasabi.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 2,864 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Independence is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Independence follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is the 2nd time in 2 months that we dined there. Also the 2nd time we received our bill and an 18% tip was automatically on there along with a 3% fee for card usage. I was paying in cash. I dont mind tipping but the sign on the door states that it's automatic when it's 4 or more people. We had 2. We asked to speak to the manager, who did come over and told us that the only way a tip is on the bill is if she puts it on there and she has not done that today. Well I guess it just miraculously appears there. I'm assuming that because there were 4 different parties at our table that they consider it over 4 people. Be aware people and check your bills before paying or you will double tip. This is illegal for them to do but yet their getting away with it daily. We won't be going back there!

PEOPLE: IT'S TIME TO DROP KICK THIS DIVE!! YOU WILL NOT IMPRESS ANYONE BY BRINGING THEM HERE!!!!! Went for Father's Day at 6pm. They were already out of broccoli and mushrooms. Got scallops and shrimp.REMEMBER, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING THE POOP OUT OF THE SHRIMP! Chef completely missed scallops when putting on liquid seasoning. I watched it burn off on the grill instead of going on scallops. Needless to say they were flavorless. The noodles needed the broccoli which I love but did without. They replaced with carrots πŸ˜•πŸ˜‘ and onions. Ruined it!! It even looked like it was missing something. The flood of onions didn't help. Very disappointed. The bill was 92.00 and a waste of money. There were no drinks in this and even got white rice.

Dirty and dark, tables filthy, food so salty I did not eat my filet and scallop meal at all, went to McDonalds after I left there and had a better meal. The cook threw noodles on my plate over my rice and all over the table and some of the noodles went in our drinks, and he did nothing. The food looked like mush on my plate... Not appetizing at all.The Filet was like eating salt, the meat cut so small the size of my doggies food bits. awful. How do they stay in business? We had 8 people and all thought salt was poured over our food, so salty. What too much MSG? Not to mention the smoke in the room bothered our sinuses very poor ventilation. sorry you asked A?

Took my 90-year-old mother here for the first time, and I’m honestly shocked by the lack of basic human decency. My mother has serious mobility issues β€” standing and sitting are difficult. I simply asked if we could be seated while the third person in our party parked the car so she wouldn’t have to stand and struggle. The manager refused, word-for-word: β€œWe can’t let you take the seats until the other person is inside. That's a policy we must follow” No compassion, no flexibility, not even a moment of understanding. Just a cold β€œpolicy” excuse while a 90-year-old woman waited uncomfortably. I get that restaurants have rules. But if your policy can’t bend for elderly guests with mobility challenges, something is seriously wrong with your priorities. A business that claims to β€œmake customers happy” should start with basic empathy. Very disappointed. If you care about accessibility, respect, or just simple kindness β€” think twice before coming here. Other than that, food is average, atmosphere is bad, room is too smoky and chokey without sufficient evacuation.
